A Smart Chess Move From Mr. Bush
08.01.07 10:00 Iraq War, "War on terror"

We can say that a lot of things are bad, very bad for US. Iraq is worsening, dollar is falling, US economy is going down, coloured revolutions are falling appart, Africa, South America are turning the eyes to China, Nkorea and Iran are showing that the superpower is impotent to deal with countries with some more capabilities to defend from an attack.

But US have a powerfull weapon in their arsenal, and they showed that they know how to use it. the weapon i'm talking about is (des)information.

Yes, the powerfull propaganda machine is working very well and was used in the right time.

The Saddam's assassination was a masterpiece of a chess move orchestred by Bush team.

Here, i'm going to explain my view of the situation, better saying giving an different approach about what is being said in mainstream.

The situation on Iraq is bad. US deaths are mounting and republicans are going to be replaced by democrats. US plans about Iraq are in danger, how are we going to deal with democrats?

Bush needs to give democrats(and to the country and to the world) a justification to have US troops dying in Iraq, and to maintain them dying for a lot more years.

Killing Saddam is a very good move.

- It must be done before democrats take command of the congress and senate.

Democrats take over control of Congress

WASHINGTON: In a day of transition and pageantry, exultant Democrats took control of both houses of Congress for the first time in a dozen years and elected the first female speaker of the House.

Representative Nancy Pelosi of California took the speaker's gavel at 2:08 p.m. on Thursday ...

Egypt’s Mubarak says he asked U.S. not to let Saddam hang on Muslim festival

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak condemned the conduct of Saddam Hussein’s execution and its timing at the start of a Muslim religious festival, saying in an interview published Friday that the hanging made the deposed leader “a martyr.”

Mubarak told Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot that when it became clear that the hanging was imminent, he sent a message to President Bush, asking that it not be carried out during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

“Don’t do it at this time,” Mubarak said he told Bush. “Why is it necessary to hang (him) just at the time when people are saying the holiday prayers?”

Bush: Saddam hanging should have been 'more dignified'

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush said that Saddam Hussein's execution should have occurred "in a more dignified way" and called on Iraq to fully investigate what happened during the hanging...

..."We expect there to be a full investigation of what took place," he stressed.

US raised concerns before Saddam execution

Senior US officials raised concerns with the Iraqi government over the execution of Saddam Hussein before he was hanged, the White House said, in a bid to dampen a new row rattling the US role in Iraq...

...The official said he had intervened with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Friday night and earlier last week to try to delay the hanging, but had never received a full explanation as to why Saddam had to be executed so quickly after the death sentence was upheld by an appeals court.

- It must be showed that US does not rule on Iraq, but their "elected democratically" government.

Saddam death sentence may not need OK

An appeals court order upholding Saddam Hussein's death sentence might not require the Iraqi president's approval, a presidential spokesman said Wednesday. If it does not, the former dictator will have no other legal means of avoiding execution...

...Iraqi officials had said such a decision must be ratified by President Jalal Talabani and Iraq's two vice presidents. But a presidential spokesman said that was not necessarily the case.

Saddam Execution Video Scandal Fuels Reactions

...Sunni Arabs in Iraq have staged demonstrations at the conduct of Saddam's execution, saying it was an act of pure vengeance by the Shiite-led government.

Iranian agents arrested in Baghdad: BBC

A British official has said five Iranians arrested in Baghdad last month in a raid by U.S. forces were senior intelligence officers thought to be on a covert mission to influence the Iraqi government, the BBC reported...

... "Anything that undermines the Iraqi government is unhelpful and any Iranian links to armed groups in Iraq are unacceptable." ...

...The BBC said the arrested men were in Iraq to hold high-level meetings with Iraqi Shi'ite factions...

So looking to this scenario, we see that Bush is getting justication to have US troops in Iraq and to maintain them for a lot more years.

Bush is trying to give the impression that the real problem in Iraq is Iran and not US. And to reach this objective hanging Saddam was a good move. And giving to the world a mobile phone video was a masterpiece. Because it would be impossible for US officially show that kind of images, but in this manner, a leak to the world through internet was a very clever move. Saddam dying and shiites shouting, what could be better??

It fomments a civil war, put sunnites against shiites, shows an Iran ansious for revenge and get control for Iraq.

Bush is giving democrats a save face to accept the need of maintaining US troops on Iraq, just like Bush wants/need.

Using propaganda machine, Bush is trying to show the world that the real threat in Iraq is Iran, and US is only there to save "democracy" and "freedom" with their "heroic" troops.

Using propaganda machine, US is continue to fight for world control, will fight for energy, will fight for their survival.

Survival because US is dying as a superpower. the countdown as already begun.
