"If they want to save the coalition, lets save the coalition, but Yatsenyuk must step down," Verkhovna Rada member Oleh Barna said against the background of the prime ministers recent initiative.

The coalition was formed on November 21, 2014. More than 300 of its lawmakers ensure the majority in the 450-seat parliament.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk took office on February 27, 2014. In March 2015 he admitted the loss "of a quarter of the Ukrainian economy."
