Libya Crisis - EU Leaders Are Indicted for Nazi-Style Crimes against Humanity

International Law says if you invade a country you are responsible for the well being of the civilians of that country. Hitler knew that, and with a few exceptions he followed the Law. As for the exceptions (murdering a several million Jews), his Lieutenants were put on trial in Nuremburg and punished.

The mandate that the Western Powers got rubber-stamped at the U.N. four-years-ago, when they sought and got permission to bomb Libya back to Mission Accomplished, clearly said that the objective was only to “protect civilians”.

So they bombed and they bombed and they bombed...Ho-Ha!!!

The result was just like in Iraq and Afghanistan...complete chaos. From a semblance of order, to a country ruled by armed bandits. But hey, this time the West did not invade...they just bombed...so that’s not covered by International Law. Clever eh!!

Very brave!! Of course our fly-boys are hero’s putting their lives in danger to selflessly promote World Peace and the War on Terror...not that any were harmed, at least not from enemy-fire, if indeed there was an enemy. It was a Good “Non-War”, non-war because if it’s not a war, you can’t be accused of being a war-criminal, clever eh!! Perhaps they had that lawyer who said that water-boarding and all the other nasty things the Americans got up to, were not war-crimes, on-side?

The result was that plenty of evil-doers got burnt out of recognition...Ho-Ha!! A mad dictator was executed by a mob and the War on Terror was taken to a brave new level with superb photo-opportunities...T.V. and political approval ratings soared... Mission Accomplished!!

Pity about the civilians

That was the point wasn’t it?

Of course, that’s collateral damage. The fact tens of hundreds of Libyans, mainly women and young children, are as we speak; risking their lives handing over their last savings to coyotes so they can get onto un-seaworthy boats to do anything to get away from the chaos, is well, a tragic un-intended consequence.

Who could have predicted that?

This is what I wrote four years ago:

...the bombers and the sanctions will destroy the fabric of infrastructure and rule of law that supports the civilian population; and the result will be degeneration into pockets of armed militias. That’s what happened in Afghanistan after the Russians left and USA turned their back and after that it was only the cruel law of the Taliban that could restore a semblance of law and order. It’s also what happened in Somalia, and there is a good chance it will happen in Libya.

I’m sure in his memoires David Cameron will say “we are better off without Gaddafi” just like Tony Blair said “we are better off without Saddam”, and who cares about the 500,000 civilians who died when the rule of law was removed and the country degenerated into chaos with armed militias roaming the streets settling scores. The more bombs that are dropped, the more likely that will be the outcome. And who will suffer?

Well the civilians, as always.

So Mr. OBAMA, Mr. CAMERON, Comrade HOLLANDE...where are you now? How much progress did you make with your grand-benevolent scheme to “protect civilians” in Libya?

Ah but Non-War can sometimes have un-intended consequences.

How could a poor German Gestapo officer, cattle-prodding Jewish civilians into railway cars; know what the consequences of his actions might be? He thought he was doing his bit to promote World Peace and to win the War on Terror. That’s what Herman Goering told him, and in any case he was only following orders.

Comrade HOLLANDE is now suggesting that we need to stop the civilians getting onto the boats in the first place. That would of course solve the problem of having all those people dying on-camera in Italian territorial waters. Niggers – well who cares? But these people are almost white when you see them on T.V.!!

Great, idea!!! And the solution, presumably, is to bomb the boats before the civilians get on them?

C’est logique n’est pas?

If the goal of the U.N. mandate was really to protect civilians, there are only two options for the Coalition-of-The-Holy-and-The-Good:

OPTION 1:
Send a flotilla of seaworthy boats to Libya to pick up 500,000 or so refugees and re-house them in Europe and U.S.A. in direct proportion to the number of bombs dropped by each nation that helped create the problem.

OPTION 2:
Deploy ground forces in Libya to restore Law and Order, and set up an infrastructure that can support the civilian population, at least as well as the infrastructure that was in place before they started bombing, and optimally better. With the risk of course that someone might shoot at you.

Anything else is just cynical propaganda worthy of Herman Goering.

Well perhaps worse.

Apart from murdering Jews, gypsies, and disabled people, the Nazis maintained law and order in the countries they bombed back to Mission Accomplished. OK the Nazis picked on a particular race while they maintained law and order, and history clearly show the French, the Belgians, the Dutch were broadly OK with that, few of them stood up to stop the genocide, many assisted enthusiastically in the “cleansing”.

The Coalition-of-the-Good-and-The-Holy; did not target a “race”; they happily bombed anyone that might perhaps have been an evil-doer...from the vantage of an overflying plane; but they did not maintain law and order.

Just before the Coalition-of-the-Holy-and-The-Good invaded Iraq; Jacques Chirac went on T.V. and pointed out that without the “Rule of Law” (La Justice...widely mistranslated by the idiots in CNN and BBC as “The Justice” as in presumably the right to walk topless on a beach)...you got nothing, and that in his view the proposed invasion was illegal.

The (unintended) consequence was that in protest McDonalds and most U.S. restaurants dropped the “French” from their fries, spending hundreds of millions of dollars to change their menus, which is perhaps a good thing because French Fries were invented in Belgium. We can conclude from that, the Rule of Law (for other people) is not as important to your Mr. Average in the “Free-World” as whether or not you say “French Fries” ...or “Fries”.

Good to know the priorities!!

And if the sight of women and children on T.V. dying on a live snuff-movie orchestrated by The-Coalition-of-The-Holy-and-The Good, disturbs you; you can always change the channel!

At least Jacques Chirac had the balls to stand up for what was right. Unlike the Gestapo officers and others who followed orders and what was popular at the time; like Mr. CAMERON, Comrade HOLLANDE, and The President of The Greatest Nation on Earth...and the other’s of the Coalition of the Holy-and-The-Good.

So...who is the war criminal?
